Albion Park Greyhounds Race 8 Box 2 Zipping Hurf, 8.06pm
I know this bloke will start favourite, but there’s very little in the way of good things today at Albion Park. Most of the card is 395m racing and I prefer to stay away from that. Zipping Hurf for Shane Ellis, looks all over the winner and he should lead from start to finish here today, so I’ll do my best to find the placings in behind him. Boxes 4,5,6,8 look to be the main contenders for the trifecta, with a leak towards Ventura who races extremely well here at Albion and Jillie’s Flash who’s quite consistent and generally goes well. This pair should jump away with Zipping Hurf and trail him for the entire race. Jeppeli looks a threat and Joh’s Son has the ability given the right run.
2- 4,6 – 4,5,6,8, trifecta $6.00 for 100%.
Gawler Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 2 Gaililee Spirit, 6.38pm.
This bloke looks the bet of the day and should be winning here at even money. He’s a great honest chaser, who has been mixing it with the states best chasers in the recent Puppy Classic. He was slow away in the final and never a chance after that, however previous to that he was going great guns. He drops back here to the 400, which is always of concern, but he does have enough speed to clear them here. He’s won here in a quick 22.73 and in the form he’s in, he should go quicker. The starts the most important thing, but he should be too good here today. Great bet, if ya can get even money.
Sandown Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 5 Tiger Toes, 3.47pm
The former NSW chaser has been pretty fair here of late without winning. The step back up to the 595 is perfect for him as the 500 journey is a tad too short. He’s got pretty solid form over the 600 and generally jumps well on a bend start. He should be able to bounce here and end up on the bunny or just behind early. He has great mid race pace and should speed away from them here in the middle stage. Daintree Dynasty looks the main danger, and will have the added advantage of box 1, but he’s a slow beginner and takes time to warn up. As long as Tiger Toes gets away with them, he should be winning.
Sale Greyhounds Race 5 Box 3 Kiss Me Ketut, 6.28pm.
There’s only one question here, will Kiss Me Ketut get out and lead? He should go close, and if he does the race is all over. Sale is a tricky track and can bring a lot of good dogs unstuck. He’s got plenty of speed, and is really flying at present. He’s form has been super consistent and he looks the good thing to me here tonight. He’s easily capable of breaking 30.00 at the Meadows, something most of these can’t do. As long as he jumps and handles the tricky Sale course expect him to beat them with sheer speed. The bookends look the main dangers, and if Ketut makes a mistake there’s no doubt they will be there to pounce. Kiss Me Ketut should be too good here.
Best of luck
