THE Wentworth Park meeting scheduled for Saturday June 4 has been abandoned due to inclement weather and state of the track.
The area was lashed with storms overnight on Friday which resulted in significant damage to the track.
While ordinarily this could be repaired in time for the meeting, it has been made impossible with more than 50mm predicted to fall in the coming hours.
Due to welfare concerns, the meeting programmed for Saturday night has been abandoned including the 10 heats of the Group 1 Peter Mosman Classic.
As a result new nominations will be called for the heats as well as the Ladbrokes Monthly Medal series, with both events rescheduled for Saturday June 11.
Nominations for both will close at 9am on Tuesday June 7.
The Peter Mosman Classic will remain a three week series, with the semi-finals and final due to be run on June 18 and 25 respectively.
