2022 Group 1 Topgun and Topgun Stayers fields named
The 2022 Group 1 Topgun and Group 1 Topgun Stayers fields have been announced and the finalists named.
The Melbourne Greyhound Racing Association's (MGRA) invitation only group races had finalised the invitees back on October 10, and yesterday the final fields from those invitees who nominated were named.
Wow She's Fast heads the named greyhounds for the $150,000 to-the-winner Topgun over 525m at The Meadows.

But the Group 1 Maturity Classic and Group 1 Sapphire Crown winner will not have things all her own way with recent Group 2 Black Top winner French Martini named among the eight Topgun greyhounds.
French Martini recently solo trialed at The Meadows in preparation for the Topgun running 29.72 at her first look at the Broadmeadows circuit.

2022 Million Dollar Chase (MDC) winner McInerney will also get his chance to win the 30th running of the Group 1 Topgun.

2022 Group 1 Silver Chief winner Zippy Tesla will be the third of three Victorian greyhounds to contest the race, and looking to become the eighth Victorian Topgun winner in the past eight years.
New South Wales greyhound French Martini will be joined in the race by 2022 Group 1 National Sprint Champion Good Odds Cash and Zipping Kyrgios to give NSW three runners.
Queensland's 2022 Group 1 Brisbane Cup winner Orchestrate, and West Australia's recent Group 2 All Stars Sprint winner Vice Grip, make up the final two greyhounds for The Topgun.
The reserves are Victorians Photo Man (first reserve) and Amron Boy (second reserve).

The Topgun and Topgun Stayers will be held on the opening night of Greyhound Racing Victoria's (GRV) new Dream Chasers Festival on Saturday November 5 2022.
The box draw for both the Group 1 races will be conducted trackside on 2022 Group 1 Hume Cup (600m) heats night on Monday October 31.
The $75,000 to-the-winner Group 1 Topgun Stayers finalists were also named, and NSW stayer and Wentworth Park track record holder Super Estrella will headline the race against three Victorians, First Picked, Mepunga Ruby and Untapped.
2022 Group 2 Sydney Cup – Super Estrella Trainer: David Smith
Queenslanders Days Of Thunder and Oh Oh Range have made the field, as has South Australian and Angle Park track record holder Fantastic Radley; along with West Australian stayer Tsar Bell.

Moraine Suzie and Drako Bale will be the reserves.
