Ipswich Greyhounds Race 9 Box 1 Mobile Banker 6.36pm
Ian Hoggan rugs up the talented, but unreliable, Mobile Banker in the ninth event. He's been off the scene for over a month but that should only increase his winning chances. He's yet to race over this trip, but he should have no trouble stopping the clock around the 25.20 mark which is far quicker than any of these can go. Box 1 is the only concern here for him as it will either enhance his chances or diminish them. He's not a brilliant beginner but he does come out with them, and he should do that here today. I doubt there is much that can challenge here from the outside, and the only danger appears to be Soprano Benz. As long as Mobile Banker is at odds of $4.00 or more he's worth the win bet.
Lismore Greyhounds Race 7 Box 4 Gelzinnis Clan 8.42pm
This fellow was shaping up as a real top liner before going amiss. He's now returned to the track, with a 3rd and a 1st in his last two starts. He steps back up to the more suitable trip of 500 here and he'll take a power of beating with a clear run. He's shown in the past his talent with a quick 30.03 win at Albion Park, and it appears he hasn't lost any of his speed or strength. He's a slow beginner and does need clear room, but while this is a tough race he has the talent to win. I doubt they will go much quicker than about 30.20 and even if he makes a few mistakes he'll still run that on his ear with clear room. He's definitely worth an each-way ticket in this.
Warragul Greyhounds Race 11 Box 3 Rockafonic 10.08pm
All this fellow needs to do is find the rail before the outside division do. He's a pretty handy dog and I get the feeling he's only getting better with age. He's got a pretty good record being in the money 66% of the time and often starts short. The trouble with him is he's not very tough and can find trouble. The key to him winning this is getting out and getting clear room early on. With five wins and seven placings he's sure to be in the money again. His future looks to be over further so, win or lose here tonight, keep following him. Each-way.
