A ROUGH day on the punt yesterday, but we did get three winners including Aston Miley which paid a juicy $4.50 – and we also managed to get the first four across the post in her race in correct order which paid around $300 if you were lucky enough to get on.

Greyhound racing best bets – October 21, 2017
Wentworth Park R4 No.4 Mr. Pupparazzi faces a tough field but he is absolutely flying at present and comes into this race on the back of a phenomenal 29.87 gallop here on October 11, If he can spear the lids like he did on that occasion he should settle towards the front. Curtain Call looks to be the leader in this race, however he isn’t overly strong and if Mr Pupparazzi gets within three or four lengths of him down the back I expect him to be too good.
Wentworth Park R9 No.1 Chevy King won three in a row before finishing sixth here last start. Capable of bouncing back and looks poised to strike from box one with a lack of genuine early speed in the event. He is the best dog in this race and only needs luck to find the front – if he can I can’t see them running him down.
Ipswich R6 No.8 Iconic Beach hate tipping on bend starts but Iconic Beach just looks the winner. Was brilliant at Albion Park on October 15 when posting quick time over the shorts and the rise in trip suits tonight. Should get room to move from box eight and I expect him to find the front early and be far too good.
Cannington R5 No.4 Demon Bale far from disgraced last start when run down by Astrozone in the Group 3 Mandurah Cup final. He clocked a fast 27.20 when being beaten after running a slick 27.67 in his heat. Prior to that he won at Cannington in 29.73. He has been beginning brilliantly lately – if he can find the front he’ll be hard to run down.
The Meadows R7 No.6 Aston Selena returned to Victoria from a stint in NSW with a handy 29.56 win at Sandown last start. Has good early speed to offset the bad draw, but will need to come out running with a wide runner on her inside. Should go close to the 30-second mark on the bunny and that should be good enough to win here.
