Greyhound racing's best bets

SATURDAY is always a great night of racing and tonight we are in for a treat with the Queen of the sport, ( x Ucme Typhoon Aug ’14), contesting the Group 3 Sydney Cup (720m) at Wentworth Park.

She looks poised to win, with bad luck her biggest threat, as she aims to make it 33 wins from 48 starts and take her prize money above the $964,000 mark.

If you followed our tips yesterday, we had a pretty successful day – with both of our best bets saluting at Angle Park.

Bogie Bekim kicked the night off – paying $1.85 fixed – and Barton Bale got the job done returning $1.50.

Additionally, we also boxed the first four home in the which paid a handy $629.

Greyhound racing best bets – Saturday October 14, 2017

Wentworth Park R6 No.2 Fanta Bale by far the best dog in the race and is sure to have her primed for this event. Box two suits her and she looks the clear leader in the early stages. Once out in front she will make her own luck and I can’t see any of them running her down.

Wentworth Park R7 No.3 not an overly strong FFA race and it looks to be Where Art Thou’s race to lose. Her form is better than it reads – two starts back she finished fifth but was only beaten two lengths by in the Group 1 Megastar at . Seems to race better at Wentworth Park and even though she is a slow beginner she should find a nice spot early from the good draw and she will be coming home like a freight train.

The Meadows R8 No.3 Bonnie Beauty looks a star in the making. She is facing her biggest test to date in this race but is drawn well and if she begins as well as last week she should find the front. Capable of getting around the 34.00 mark on the bunny and it is hard to see them running her down if she is carving that time out in front.

R2 No.7 far from disgraced when fourth in a heat of the Group 1 Adelaide Cup last start. The start before that he defeated a stellar field to win the Group 3 . Good early speed, can handle a wide draw and owns a 29.71 personal best here. The one to beat.
