The Meadows are set to host 12 races on Saturday night from 6:32PM local time. The meeting is headlined by the group one National Sprint (race eight) and Distance (race six) final. The very best around Australia and New Zealand will battle it out in what is set to be a thrilling night.
Best Bet: Triumph (Race 2)
Leading Victorian trainer Jason Thompson looks set to enjoy a night to remember, and his trusty charge, Triumph, can do just that in the second event. The son of Zambora Brockie has been a grand campaigner for the kennel, winning 13 races and adding 16 place efforts from 54 starts. He has struck form recently, winning his past two races in emphatic style and recording best-of-night figures. Prior to this, he raced against some of the best types in Victoria, such as Afire and Hector Frawley. He played superbly on Saturday to record his hat-trick. He has enough early speed to cross Kadence Bale and Jigglypuff, which should see him sit behind the likely leader in Aston Sunset.

Next Best Bet: Hot Scotch (Race 4)
Terrific here from Brooke Ennis with her runner, Hot Scotch, who will be very hard to beat. After going under at a short price in a free-for-all company over track and trip, Hot Scotch endured a four week absence and has been targeted specifically for this event. He returned running second at Bendigo from a middle draw after being run down late by Dutch Riot. Last week he was super, doing all the work behind Money Owes, running second, and qualifying for Saturday's final at The Meadows. He's drawn superbly in Box One and has a great map to boot. Warcraft is a tarty beginner outside him, and Fire Hose can ace the start but will run cover for Hot Scotch as he uses the track into the first turn. With a clean getaway, Hot Scotch can kick up, rail, lead, and win.

The white wonder, Days Of Thunder, can run a ripping race here for Queensland in the National Distance Final. The daughter of Fernando Bale x Melissa's Pride has enjoyed a highly decorated career, with her record currently standing at 67: 19-9-10. She is hitting form at the right time for this series, with her last two races resulting in breathtaking wins from box two. She draws the stripes once again on Saturday night and can use the low draw to her advantage. Fast Minardi, Zipping Vanessa, and Ballistic Ant will pour the pressure on from out wide, while Zoha Bale, Palawa King, and Days Of Thunder look to drop behind the speed battle. Expect Days Of Thunder to poke through gaps and run on late into the placings.
