Wentworth Park betting tips & quaddie | Saturday, August 26
While most eyes turn towards the National Championships in Melbourne, Wentworth Park will host a quality 10-race program starting at 5:34pm local time. The finals of the fifth-grade dogs and bitches series will highlight the program, joined by a quality free-for-all contest. As always, Australian Racing Greyhound will try and find you a winner or two.
Race 7: Charlm Dancer (4)
With three wins and two placings from eight attempts here, and with the fastest personal best of 29.95, Charlm Dancer is the top pick in the bitches final. She has won two in a row here and overcame this same draw in the heats. She has enough pace to contest the early lead, although there is pace drawn immediately to her right. She's A Star will need a touch of luck, while Nacho Queen might be the value and main danger.

Race 8: Kingsbrae Demon (7)
This boy had been beginning like a shot out of a gun, but when he needed it most in the NSW National Sprint Final, he missed the kick. He dropped back into fifth-grade company for the heats of this and showed what he can truly do. The fact he routinely runs a flying 5.4 early section should see him leading this race, and that's where you want to be at Wenty. He has two wins and a placing from four runs here and doesn't mind the wider draws, winning four from six from the black box.

Race 9: Nangar Larry (3)
This boy hasn't seen a fifth-grade race since he competed in the Group 1 Vic Peters Classic series in July, so he will really appreciate the drop in class. He has been absolutely flying of late at Gosford with a couple of best-of-night performances. He has only had three goes here: the heat and final of the aforementioned Group 1, and a free-for-all where he placed. He has never started from box three, but with his pace and class, the box should be of little consequence and he should be accounting for this field comfortably.

Race 1: Rockstar Aloha (5)
This girl has improved with recent racing and looks a great value play in the opener. While she is awkwardly drawn in box five, there is not much pace in the race, and maybe the dog drawn immediately under her might take her across to the fence in the early stages. She will need to improve her personal best of 30.4 here, but in a very open race, she will be value odds.
