Townsville greyhound tips & quaddie picks | Tuesday, July 25
Townsville is set to host 12 races on Tuesday night from 6:55pm local time. The program is headlined by the Wigs 4 Kids fifth-grade final over the 498m, which features the likes of Lush Ice, I’m A Neo and Eyes On Meg. The two free-for-all races have plenty of depth and are sure to be good contests.
Best Bet: Pacific Holly (Race 2)
This daughter of Maurice Minor has been knocking on the door since her debut effort, where she went down by under a length to Aloe’s Reward. Since then, she has bumped into the in-form Kelmar Soxy on two occasions in a maiden heat and final series. Her most recent run was her best, going down a head in 22.13. On Tuesday she faces her easiest task to date. There’s minimal speed expected in this race, and if she jumps cleanly again, she’ll find the front. From there, expect her to keep running and break her maiden status.

Race 2 –
Form: 232 | Career: 3: 0-2-1 | Trainer: Tony Parker
Next Best: Kelmar Soxy (Race 3)
Kelmar Soxy will be out to make it a hat-trick of wins on Tuesday night. His record at Townsville stands at three starts, two wins and a second, while his overall record reads 14: 2-5-1, showcasing his love for the circuit. The son of Fernando Bale x Crazy Bonnie now steps up in grade and finds a lovely race to tick off the novice. None of his rivals have clocked a faster personal best and he has a very likeable map. Elarbee Leo is stepping back from the 498m and has lacked speed over the 380m, while Dave Ricciardo comes out last more often than not.

Next Best Again: Paulie Walnuts (Race 7)
Paulie Walnuts was last seen in a 520m fifth-grade at Albion Park two months ago where he suffered an injury and tailed off to finish last, beaten 26 lengths. Judging off his latest trial, however, his body is back to his best as he passed in a flying 28.60. On the same night, Pretty Cindy – the race favourite on Tuesday – won in 28.76. Paulie has recorded six wins over track and trip with a brilliant personal best of 28.46. Add in a low box and a kind map, and he looks set to make a statement in his return.
