Wentworth Park preview for November 11

Saturday marks Remembrance Day, and what better way to wind down your Saturday than with 10 superb greyhound races at Wentworth Park? The first race will commence at 6:19pm and there is no doubt that the Chairman’s Cup will be the highlight. Or can Zipping Megatron steal the limelight for himself? Here are our free Wentworth Park tips for November 11, 2023.

Race 1: Nangar Larry (6)

Nangar Larry bounced back to his very best last week after being a beaten favourite in the Goulburn Cup and proved that Wentworth Park was no hoodoo for him. He began beautifully and put the race to bed after a zippy first section of 5.4 secs and a best of the night 29.7 performance. He took his record to 10 wins from 22 starts and broke the run of six races here for only four placings. He draws awkwardly out in box six with some pace immediately under him, but he has won from the box and if he begins well and runs 29.7 again in this race the box won’t make a difference and they won’t catch him.

Race 9: Fear The Dragon (1)

Fear The Dragon has mixed his form recently, but his last couple of runs have been scintillating. He has only had the six career starts for four wins and a placing, his only miss here off a bad box five. Three of his wins have been off the inside three boxes and he loves the fence. His only real concern are his box manners, he can be tardy at box rise. However, he should be able to make great use of the inside draw and his personal best 29.9 is lengths ahead of this field. There might be a few scary moments early on, but they will do well to hold him off when he unleashes that Dragon power down the back straight.

Race 4: Battle Tears (1)

While Zipping Megatron will start a very short-priced and deserved favourite, there will be tremendous value for Battle Tears, who may just be able to steal this race. Granted, if Zipping Megatron misses the perceived trouble very early in this race then he probably wins, but Battle Tears will be out in front early and away from any trouble. If Batlle Tears begins well and runs the same first sectional he did in the heats 5.4 secs, he will be at least a length clear of this field at the first turn. If he then runs a similar overall time to last week 29.58, he may prove very hard to run down and should start at great odds for a very fast front running greyhound.
