Wentworth Park betting tips

Another super Saturday night of greyhound racing at this week. After the sensational Summer Carnival that was last week, we are back to a standard Saturday night program. There are 10 races on the program, with the first set to begin at 6.14pm local time. The finals of the to Wenty series and both the Dogs and Bitches series, where the heats were run here last week, will be the highlights of the program. As always, Australian Racing Greyhound will try to find you a winner or two.

Race 6: Zipping Optimise (8)

was the fastest heat winner and the fastest run here at Wenty for over six months. His 29.39 was scintillating, destroying a good field by over ten lengths. He draws terribly for him out wide, as he would prefer the rails, but while he has never had box eight, he has won three races from box seven. He is three from six here now and six from eleven overall, but it won't really matter what box he has if he begins like he did last week and runs similar sectionals to last week. He will be short but will be a great anchor for your multis and quaddies. Only bad luck beats him.

Race 1: Bolt Wave (2)

Looking to begin like a Bolt in the first race, this boy does possess immense talent and power; however, his lack of box manners has cost him many races. His record of 15 starts for five wins and six placings could be so much better. His last win at over 400m from this same box was devastating. He has been to Wenty five times for a win and a second but does have a 29.57 personal best, which is the best in this race by a space. He is three from three in his lucky box two. If Hurricane Reign begins well and this boy can follow her through, he will have a massive chance of running her down at a good price.

Race 8: Go Bears (7)

This boy was a finalist in the last Saturday night and was handily placed for him before getting poleaxed. He is a runner that needs a lot of luck in his races, as his box manners leave a lot to be desired. Having said that, he does own a flying 29.53 personal best here, and that was off box six. He has won five races here and had another six placings from 19 starts, which is a great record for a backmarker at a leader's track. He chased the talented Idolise to ¾ of a length in the Group 1 heats, and if he gets an ounce of luck and space, he will be motoring over the top of these at tremendous value odds.
