In running second to Birthday Boy, Young Ravello catapulted past Invisiting Me to be judged the most consistent greyhound throughout the six-week Tri-Star series, thus earning a free service to champion sire Bombastic Shiraz for his .

Friday night's feature at Geelong was the third and final leg of the 2008 MTD Tri-Star series, with previous legs being held at Bendigo (won by ) and Ballarat (Invisiting Me).

Young Ravello, who is owned by Tony Devola and trained by , was rewarded with the stud service, valued at $3,300, despite not winning any of the three legs of the MTD Tri-Star series.
