Clock Off claims Maitland Million Dollar Chase (MDC) Regional final
Robert Howard's Clock Off reversed the result from last week's Million Dollar Chase (MDC) regional qualifying heats against Zipping Maserati, to claim last night's regional final over the 450m.
Punters sent out Clock Off as +190 second favourite with greyhound betting bookmaker apps, just behind Zipping Maserati as +110 favourite.
Sunrise Jenny (+600) was the only other greyhound to face the starter under double figure odds to win the race.
Stepping from box eight (Clock Off), the son of Ando's Mac and Mayfair Miss whizzed around his rivals, recording an early section of 7.71 and managed to hold off a late challenge from Zipping Maserati to score by three quarters of a length in a new personal best time of 24.83.
It was the 35kg chaser's eighth career win from start 14 and his fourth time breaking the 25-second barrier over the Maitland distance.
Hold Me Up for Joe Comito finished in third place, with all three runners having qualified to compete at Wentworth Park on April 29 in the Million Dollar Chase semi-finals over the 520m.
Gosford are the last track to conduct their regional final tonight over the 515m.
