Kim Johnstone Snares Treble At Virginia Coursing
A belated return to coursing saw Kim Johnstone lead in a treble with Specify, Disco Dave and Lochinvar Rip. With a return to more reasonable weather after our wild winds and rain for the previous two days, coursing was conducted in sunny but somewhat cold conditions. Specify defeated Onslow in the first event for Kim Johnstone, then Disco Dave repeated the effort when defeating Remo Rheola and last but not least, Lochinvar Rip defeated Jetson Kist in the next.
Cyclone Polly defeated Nevaeh Kist for Leigh Drganc and Ray Fewings returned to the winners circle when Rajas Ogre defeated Jack and Lolli in the Novice Stake. Just Shine showed his liking for coursing when he defeated Nicholas Jack for Robyn Mackellar. Todd Kelly returned to coursing with Aha McBain who was successful in the Juvenile Stake when defeating Hidden Criminal for Neil Mann. Cathy Harris‘ Apertif defeated Tony Fry‘s Stone Cold Casey in the last.
Time honours for the day went to Apertif when he clocked 15.32.
Dates for the remainder of the season are 13 and 27 July, 10 and 24 August, with our final meeting on 7 September.
Our next meeting is scheduled for Sunday 13 July – all grades catered for.
