Fancy A Scotch takes out Ipswich QGOLD Final
Fancy A Scotch served up a strong performance to run down the leader and salute in the QGOLD Final at Ipswich on Friday night.
Trained and owned by Kerri-Lyn Harkness, Fancy A Scotch lined up in the 431m fifth-grade final as a +150 favourite with top online greyhound bookmakers.
At box rise, +400 third favourite, Hot Tyson, got out to lead and held the front for most of the trip.
Into the home straight, Fancy A Scotch moved through on the rail to storm home and take the win over the top of the leader in 25.26.
Fancy A Scotch beat home Hot Tyson by 0.25 lengths, with Taabinga Tiger finishing third.

Fancy A Scotch took out his heat the previous week, beating home Rebel Blaster and Bay Street Boy by 2.5 lengths.
Prior to that, he last saluted on April 23, beating home Cliff Houston-trained Burnt Sunset by 2.25 lengths down the 366m straight at Capalaba.
On June 22, he finished fifth in a seven-dog field in the Brisbane Cup Prelude Final, 17 lengths behind winner Postman Pat.
Fancy A Scotch kicked off his career with a win in October last year, beating home Zorko Hayze by 3.5 lengths at the Albion Park over the 395m journey.
At his fifth start, on December 12, he lined up in the Listed QGold Rookies over the 520m trip at Albion Park, finishing fourth close to ten lengths (9.75) behind the winner Bear's Bullet.
The son of Hooked On Scotch and Bonne Chance has seven wins and 12 placings from 38 career starts and has banked $41,625 in prize money.
