Midnight Spritz, trained by the powerful Andy and kennel, clinched their first win in the prestigious 2024 Group 3 Ladies Bracelet final at Wentworth Park on Saturday night, May 4.

This time-honoured classic event for female greyhounds only, has dropped from to Group 3 status in recent years, but it is still very much a targeted and much sought-after race to win.

On Saturday night, Midnight Spritz was sent to the boxes as the narrow second favourite for the race with greyhound bookmakers at +270, just behind the punter's elect Camilla Keeping, who was quoted at +240, with the aid of the box one draw.

But at the jump, Camilla Keeping's hopes were dashed when speedy flyer My Hepburn pounced on the lead and went to the rail.

Midnight Spritz, had begun well from box five and worked in to a clear second, chasing the leader through the first corner.

In a determined run, Midnight Spritz kept working away at the leader and collared My Hepburn by the home corner, before going on to win the $25,000 to-the-winner race in 29.59.

Camilla Keeping ran on well to finish second, 3.0 lengths from the winner, while My Hepburn had to be content with third, a further 0.5 lengths back.
