Wentworth Park Saturday tips, odds & quaddie | April 27, 2024
After the sensational Golden Easter Egg carnival wrapped up last week, we back up at Wentworth Park this Saturday night with the heats of the Group 3 Ladies Bracelet and Bob Payne Sprint. We have 10 quality races, with the first to begin to begin at 6:07pm local time. As always, Australian Racing Greyhound will do the form and work the numbers to try and find you a winner or two.
Best Bet: Zipping Optimise (6)
Zipping Optimise has managed to find a way to get beaten lately, although those races have been against the best fifth-grade greyhounds in Listed company. Only one other dog in this race has broken the 30-second mark, and with a vacant box underneath him, our boy will start as the short-priced favourite. He is on his final chance, but surely only horrible luck stops him in this race.

Next Best: Good Odds Cobber (3)
Good Odds Cobber has strung together four wins, including the final of the Group 3 New Sensation. He draws perfectly in box three with two moderate beginners underneath him; he prefers the inside draws but has been beating quality fields from awkward boxes of late. While there are some talented dogs drawn outside him, if he begins like he has been of late, Good Odds Cobber will hold them out and make it five in a row.

Best Value: Irinka Lottie (8)
Irinka Lottie has been mixing her distances of late, winning nicely over the 650m at Dubbo and the 570m at Temora. She is in a Group 3 heat that has lashings of early sizzle, where any of four dogs could lead easily. From a good box out wide, she may just be able to miss the early speed battle and take advantage of any weakness in the eventual leader late in the race.
