South Australia’s Eastar match race series head-to-head races drawn

Yesterday the 2022 Eastar series box draw for the fastest eligible local greyhounds was conducted at Greyhound Racing ().

This year’s Eastar series of head-to-head races will take place for Thursday April 14, 2022.

The match races series will be Race 3 on the program with the first Match race due to start at 7.19pm (SA time).

Match race 2 will be at 7.27pm, Match race 3 at 7.37pm and Match race 4 at 7.46pm (local time).

In each head-to-head matchup the greyhounds will come out of 1 and 3.

There will be full coverage on Sky Racing 1 (Match races 1 & 3) & Sky 2 (Match races 2 &4).

GRSA will again provide coverage from inside the boxes for each match race.

The nominated list of qualifiers in order of fastest qualifying time were:

  • 4. Jack’s Well – 30.19
  • 5. Victa Haydn – 30.24
  • 6. – 30.303
  • 7. Harbor Blues – 30.306
  • 8. He’s All Purpose – 30.33
  • 9. Springvale Maddi – 30.36
  • 10. Dark Tides – 30.378

The head-to-head matchup races will be:

Prizemoney for each Match will range between $4,500 and $3,000 with unplaced $500 for each Match.

Overall Eastar winner (based on overall times) will be $6,000, second $2,500, third $1,500.
