Valpolicella – Albion Park, August 21

The winning time was just 0.01 of a second slower than her effort on August 14 in her first look at the trip.

She has now notched up four straight victories and has only gone unplaced twice in her 21 career starts.

Trainer Zammit said he was impressed with the run and the future opportunities for Valpolicella.

“Her run home was better than last week,” he said.

“It was great to see that she could come from behind the way she did and win so well.

“I will be keeping her at 710m because I think that suits her best and is the natural progression for her.”

The x bitch has 11 wins and eight placings from 21 starts and has banked $68,005 in prize money.

“I think we might even take her to Wenty and see if she can get a trial in the later in the year,” Zammit said.

“Her owner Sandro (Bechini) lives down there, so it is more than likely that's where we will end up.

“If the heats for the Series were two weeks later than they were, we would have given them a go.

“But she was fifth grade when I nominated her, so we missed out.

“She is still only a younger dog, so we always have next year.”
