Wow She's Fast will have her chance to go back-to-back and win both the first two runnings of Melbourne Greyhound Racing Association's () at The Meadows after being named as a definite runner by one of the slot holders.

Last year Wow She's Fast won the inaugural running of MGRA's paid entry slot holder race running for slot holders .

Prior to last night's race Sportsbet had said that “she blitzed all that came before her to win the $1m race last year and going back-to-back looks a very real possibility”, and made her greyhound betting favourite for the race in futures markets.

Sportsbet's Sean Ormerod said yesterday that “We knew she was fast last year but her performance on the night even surprised us. It was an amazing night with many loyal Sportsbet customers trackside to experience it and ,given the form she has been in, the decision to go around again with Wow She's Fast was an easy one”

While Greyhound Racing South Australia's (GRSA) stewards reported no injury after Wow She's Fast's failure last night, Australian Racing Greyhound.com wonder if Sportsbet won't be experiencing a little punter's remorse this morning after their decision to name the greyhound as their The Phoenix slot runner prior the the Adelaide Cup race.

Each The Phoenix slot costs $100,000 for the second running of the race. The slot cost for the inaugural running was much lower at $70,000.

Wow She's Fast vs She's A Pearl Match Race Off

Meanwhile Wow She's Fast's co-trainer has told AustralianRacingGreyhound.com that the much anticipated match race between Wow She's Fast and She's A Pearl is now unlikely to happen.

Greenough said that the managing owner of She's A Pearl, ; failed to agree to terms by the deadline.

“We were supposed to be notified (last Tuesday) of their intentions, and we haven't been notified,” Greenough said.

“That to me is a little bit of a concern because … we've got a bit of a doubt.

“The fact I haven't got a phone call – when I thought I was going to get one – to me is a bit of a concern.”
