Wow She’s Fast phenomenal in 2022 Sandown Shootout win
Despite the 2022 Group 3 Sandown Shootut consisting of a four-dog field, it was touted as a match-race for the ages between the two greatest female greyhounds currently racing in Australia; Wow She's Fast and She's A Pearl.
The Andy Lord-trained She's A Pearl went into the event having not seen the Sandown Park track previously, treating it as a tune up heading into next week's Group 1 Melbourne Cup heats on Saturday evening.
The Million Dollar Chase (MDC) winner stepped beautifully from the inside alley, posting a quick opening sectional of 5.08.
Wow She's Fast dwelt at the start from box three, finding herself at the tail of the field at the first turn, with Mcinerney and Photo Man ahead of her.
Heading into the back straight, the inaugural Phoenix winner (Wow She's Fast) set out after the leader and when She's A Pearl drifted slightly, the Jacqui Greenough-trained chaser took full advantage of a rails run to career away by 2.4 lengths at the finish in a speedy 29.278.
Mcinerney showed good strength to mow down Photo Man for third place.

The $50,000 winners pursue takes the daughter of My Bro Fabio and Fair Of Face's total prizemoney earning's to $1,228,370.
It was her 16th career victory from just 23 starts.
It was also a night to remember for renowned owner Greg Sprod who bred second-placed She's A Pearl.
