Rockhampton betting tips & quaddie picks | Wednesday, May 4
Greyhound racing heads to Rockhampton this Wednesday for a solid book of 12 races. ARG’s Queensland tipster has scoured the card and come up with his best bets for the night, as well as some quaddie selections.
BEST BET: FIVE PUTT CAL (Race 8)
The Christine Pollard-trained Five Putt Cal is shooting for five straight wins tonight. Has been beginning fast and clocking good winning times over this track and distance. Rising into 2nd/3rd Grade race tonight but is racing in career best form. This son of the great Orson Allen won by seven lengths last start when beating Prosecutor from box one, clocking a quick 23.66 seconds. Two starts back, he beat Inner Tea Cup clocking 23.64 seconds from box three. The main danger looks to be the Peta Boon-trained Informality (box 1), but she had a tumble when finishing last in the Rockhampton Cup last Friday night. Dropping back to the 407m distance tonight and making a quick back up after that fall cannot be ideal.

VALUE BET: OUR ANNEEKA (Race 11)
The Neville Jackson-trained Our Anneeka looks the value bet tonight. This daughter of Zambora Brokie is shooting for three straight wins. Two starts back, she won her novice race when beating Suited It from the tricky middle box after beginning well, clocking a personal best time of 24.28 seconds. Last start, she did not begin well but weaved her way through the field for a good win, clocking 24.39 seconds. Tonight, she could get a good run across, outside the betting favourite Hyperfine (box 6). Hyperfine made her Rockhampton debut last Friday night from box four and finished second behind the promising Francis Geoffrey, clocking 23.91 seconds. On paper, this looks a race with two main winning chances, so we will take Our Anneeka each way.
