Townsville is set to host 12 races on Tuesday night from 6:55PM local time. The program is headlined by three cracking heats of the 2023 “Townsville Grand Prix” run over 498m. These heats will feature the likes of top North Queensland sprinters, Redemption Day, Balts Orson, Winlock All Over and Pretty Cindy.
Best Bet: Winlock All Over (Race 8)
Third and final heat of the Townsville Grand Prix heats presents the best bet of the night in Winlock All Over. The two-year-old daughter of Fernando Bale x Jacqui Blax has been in terrific form of late for the Brad Belford kennels. In her past six starts she has recorded four wins and two seconds. She has become one of the best 498m dogs in North Queensland and is a very honest chaser. She has won her last two races from low draws and would've most likely won last week given a low draw against the kennel mate Pretty Cindy. She should have the box speed from box one to kick up, hold the rails and lead. The only danger in this race appears to be Golden Rule who is very strong but has drawn poorly in a middle box and lacks early speed to find a prominent position.

Best Value: Senor Brumby (Race 4)
Senor Brumby started his career in fine fashion and will be out to re-spark some old form tonight. The two-year-old son of El Grand Senor x Spare Cash was a seven length winner on debut for local trainer Henry Parker. After this, he had successive placings before winning his second race in a personal best 22.12. Since then, it's been a slippery slope where his litter brother, Senor Yogi has shined to be the fastest dog to have ever gone around the 380m circuit at Townsville. Despite Senor Brumby's recent run of outs, he was heavily supported last week from $10 into $2.90 starting price and gave punters a terrific run for their money. He pinged straight to the front from box four and if the race was subject to more interference, he might have got away with the money. With that heavy support and improved run, his next win isn't too far around the corner. Jumping from box seven here, he will likely have the speed to cross his rivals and find the top once again. If there is any jam in-behind he could just getaway and prove hard to run down.
