Wentworth Park betting preview & quaddie tips | August 2, 2023
With limited nominations, there are 10 races set down for Wentworth Park this Wednesday night from 6:35pm local time. The program is highlighted by a quality third/fourth-grade race and a non-graded sprint over the 280m. As always, we will try to find you a winner or two.
Best Bet: Bella Una (Race 4)
This girl has been a model of consistency, running second in a Group 1 three starts back. Bella Una has five wins and two seconds from 10 career starts and hasn't missed the quinella in her last five, while she has two wins and a second from three goes out of the four box. She has been dwelling at box rise recently, which is a concern, but does have a vacant box outside her and a slow beginner under her, which will help. If she finds a position going around the first turn and stays out of trouble, she will be rounding these up and flying past them late.

Race 4 –
Form: 1212 | Career: 10: 5-2-0 | Trainer: Raymond Smith
Next Best Bet: Fantastic Spike (Race 2)
Fantastic Spike has only had two career runs, both at Bulli in best-of-day performances over the 472m. He will need to go around two turns in this race but is sure to have seen the track in a trial. Both of his starts have been from box five, so box three shouldn't be a problem. If Archer O'Brien doesn't begin, there are no speed dogs in this race and Spike should get an easy lead and hopefully show everyone how good he could be.

Next Best Again: Tulsa King (Race 8)
This blue boy was racing well up the Richmond straight track before coming to town last start. He used box five to perfection and nailed the start and raced away with a very impressive 29.7 best-of-night win. With a moderate beginner drawn under him and a vacant box outside him, he should be able to use the same draw to lead early. With his first race at the track under his belt, you would expect some improvement, which would spell trouble for his opponents in this race.
