Wentworth Park Wednesday tips & quaddie | September 6, 2023
The first midweek meeting in spring greets us at Wentworth Park this Wednesday night, with 11 exciting races from 7:35pm local time. There is something for every level of greyhound enthusiast; we have the maidens, the masters, and everything in between, including the stayers and the sprinters and a high-class free-for-all. As always, we will do our best to help you find a winner or two.
Race 8: One Hot Bandit (6)
This boy went around in the heats of the Group 1 Dapto Megastar last Thursday and just missed the kick, which is critical in that class. He comes back to his favourite track, where he has eight wins from 11 starts and has a slashing 29.5 personal best. He has never drawn box six in his 19 career starts, but he's won here from the five and the seven. He cannot afford to miss the start again in this race, but with a clean getaway, he will give the staying champ Palawa King something to chase.

Race 9: Dandy Redeemer (5)
Since having a four-month break and swapping kennels, this boy has won three of his last five. His last-start win at Gosford was impressive, and if he can bring that form to town, he will certainly give this race a shake. There is not much early pace in this race, and there is no reason he can't find the front early and run away with it. The only concerns are he is none from two here and none from three from box five, but he is a new dog under Peter Lagogiane and the kennel expects big things from him.

Race 2: Mario Wave (8)
In a race where it looks like the red and white rugs will dominate the betting, Mario Wave may just represent great value. He is the only dog to nominate for a wide box in this preferential draw race, so he may be all alone in the centre of the track early. His second in the prestigious Zoom Top Maiden at Goulburn was top notch, and he then destroyed a good field there in his next start. He is yet to see Wentworth Park under race conditions, but he may just get the race run to suit him.
