Wentworth Park will play host to 10 quality races in what is looming as one of the last Wednesday night meetings to be held at headquarters. The meeting, which kicks off at 7:05pm, includes a top-grade 280m sprint race and a very nice fourth/fifth-grade race. As always, Australian Racing Greyhound will try to find you a few winners.
Race 1: Bolt Wave (5)
This boy was extremely unlucky last week off this same exact draw when just getting checked as he was trying to race across to the lead. He looks extremely well placed in this 1-2 wins race, having had five starts for two wins and three seconds. He is bound to have improved from his first outing here, and if he can get that ounce of luck he was denied last week, Bolt Wave should be leading and winning the opening event.
Race 3: One Hot Bandit (8)
One Hot Bandit's lack of early pace has cost him in the top-grade races of late. His effort last week behind Palawa King was superb considering he gave that dog a head start and was taking ground off him at the end. He will appreciate the drop back in grade, but he can't afford to stand and miss the start again. He is three from three in the pink and has an impressive eight wins from 12 goes here, while his personal best of 29.5 would win this race by 10 lengths.
Race 8: Loves A Tipple (2)
In a race where 30.13 may just be quick enough to steal it, Loves A Tipple just needs to find the front and she could run that personal best again in this race. She got wiped out last start and much prefers to be drawn closer to the fence, like she is in this race. She has won three from 14 on this track, with four minors. Her only real competition for the lead is the red, and if she can cross to the fence early, she is always a hard dog to run down on the bunny and should represent good value in an open race.
