Greetings Greets The Judge First At Casino Greyhounds

It was a case of Christmas coming early when the aptly named Greetings led all of the way in the Richmond Bakery stake at last Friday.

Beginning beautifully from box seven, she was soon in the premier position, but looked in a little danger when Cause You Can and Arnold loomed up at the top turn.

Knuckling down to her task, Greetings got a second wind, and chasing tenaciously to the line won 3 1/2 lengths in a handy 27.86. Angel Carter – King trains her for the Fisho Three Syndicate, and there would have been plenty of celebrations as it was only her second win from forty starts.

It may have been Brad Northfield's birthday party, but brother Glen stole the show when Objection led all of the way in the novice distance stake. Pinging the lids, he was soon in front and the further they went, the further he increased his margin. When the judge called a halt he had scored by 10 1/4 lengths and clocked 35.59.

She's Gold appreciated the drop back in class when she took out the Casino Rural Traders stake. The trained galloper a big run around the leader into the back, and then raced away. On the line she won by 3 1/4 lengths in 27.88. The win continued the success of Margaret's Shy Sal line.

A large of first time owners from Walgett have their greyhound Club Sportz trained in Casino by Bill Morris. He now has an imposing record of ten starts for six wins after winning the Ranvet stake. He went straight to the lead and was never really challenged in scoring by a length in the best time over the “shorts” – 23.09.

Maxie's Chariot recorded the best time over the 484 metres when he ran 27.40 in the Casino RSM Club stake. He was second away and railed under Whirly Sorm as they went down the back. He raced away to win by 2 1/2 lengths. Earlier, landed some good wagers when she led all of the way in the Big Dog Maiden. She galloped away over the final stages to win by 4 3/4 lengths for owner Tony Marss and trainer .

's Procord has been thereabouts in the staying races of late, and she poked through a gap to claim the prize in 36.24, whilst landed his first win over the 484 metres in winning the Charcoal Inn stake in 27.53 for .

Rose Maree gave his almost weekly winner when she was never headed in the 484 metre maiden, winning by 1 1/4 lengths in 27.92, while Bouncy held her rails position to the first turn before winning the opening event in 23.42 for .

Consistency continued for Special She Is when he raced away with the Royal Hotel fifth grade in 23.32, and Cherry Hog broke her maiden status running 23.43.

Casino race again this Friday afternoon.
