Zipping Osti triumphs in impressive win at Richmond
Zipping Osti bounced back into the winner's circle at Richmond on Friday night after a purple patch of placings.
The Jason Magri-trained dog was coming off five straight placings over the 520m at Wentworth Park run and won in good times.
He lined up in the 622m fifth grade contest, on his first look at the distance, paying $2 with top online greyhound bookmakers.
At box rise, he got out clean from box three to hit the lead and dictate terms for the entire journey, beating home Glaski Poke ($5) and Copious ($2.50).
Zipping Osti won by 2.75 lengths in a time of 35.50.

Trainer Jason Magri was impressed with the win and said he would be kept from racing over further distances as a result.
Throughout his career, Zipping Osti has mixed it up with distances, with wins at 515m, 520m and now 622m.
His career kicked off with a tight runner up placing in the Graham Gibbons Memorial Maiden Final, a length behind winner Dapper Ethics.
A fortnight later, he would bounce back with the first win of his career on November 17 at Dapto, taking out a fifth-grade heat by close to five lengths.
Armed with an 83% strike rate of placings, Zipping Osti has only gone unplaced three times in his last 20 starts.
The Zipping Garth x Zipping Mitzy chaser has seven wins and 11 placings from 22 starts and has earned $40,680 in prize money for connections.
