Greyhound Racing Tips For Monday 10th August 2009

Welcome to Australian Racing Greyhound's free Greyhound Racing Tips for Monday 10th August 2009 with Tips tonight from Cranbourne (Victoria), Wentworth Park (New South Wales), (Queensland) and (New South Wales).

From the outset we just want to let all our followers know that we haven't forgotten about providing our free greyhound racing tips. We have been working hard to finish the integration of this site into another site. At the same time our sport betting, gambling and racing company Race Media, has been asked to consult on Australia's best horse racing website, https://racingonline.com. So as well as our normal project load, things have been hectic, but some of our partnerships should pay dividends for our followers by allowing us access to exclusive deals for our readers.

With all that behind us and racing tonight from Cranbourne (Victoria), Wentworth Park (New South Wales), Albion Park (Queensland) and Angle Park (New South Wales), lets just review some of our betting advice for the way those tracks play.

Cranbourne races over the 311m, 520m and 699m distances. Punters should stay away from the 311m races as a short run to the first corner cause unpredictable results and leaders usually win. Box 8 is a huge advantage in these races.

The 520m distance runs more consistently and the track show a more normal distribution of the four “bookend” boxes performing best. The 699m races are run infrequently and usually contain one standout selection.

Wentworth Park went from being a very fair track to a leader biased track with the addition of “transition turns” to the corners in the mid 90's. Leaders have been advantaged ever since that track modification and consequently red box draws are small advantage over both the 520m and 720m distances now.

Albion Park was the first track in Australia to move to the finish-on system and it is definitely the better of the two Queensland TAB tracks. A lack of depth in a lot of races can cause upsets at Albion Park when favourites are over-rated or suffer interference. Tread warily when betting on the corner start 600m races; and the 700m races will often throw up odds-on favourites that have alot of weakness about them.

Angle Park is all about leading to the first corner, class dogs will knock up winning in South Australia as their is a definite lack of depth, even at higher grades. Again be wary of betting in 600m and 700m events at Angle Park as in many cases it is just the last throw of the dice for connections and there are very few genuine stayers.

Cranbourne Greyhounds – Race 2 – Box 1 – That's Charlie

The Dave Geall trained That's Charlie went whoosh last start at boxrise and led all the way in a handy 30.69 maiden win from box 4. That win was 5 lengths in front of runner up Coyote Rebel and 3 lengths quicker than next fastest qualifier, kennel mate and litter brother That's Keith. Should have no trouble from box 1 tonight.

Cranbourne Greyhounds – Race 8 – Box 2 – Dashing Bomb

Tipping a Dave Geall double tonight here with Dashing Bomb who has won 4 of 13 starts including good wins at Warrnambool 25.56, Ballarat 25.63 and 25.59. That form stacks up well here and despite failing at Sandown last start from box 5 goes from box 2 tonight where he has already won 2 races. Has early pace and should lead again with a slow beginner drawn inside in box 1.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 2 – Box 6 – Baldessarni

Don't take too short odds, but Baldessarni looks the winner here even with the early pace boxed underneath him. Another speedy type from the Aitchison line and another son of Collision, Baldessarni has now won 7 of his 11 starts and put 2 very good wins at Bulli back to back. Is gunning for the here and with the speedy beginner but weak La Voca drawn under him he should get a perfect cart across the field.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 5 – Box 2 – Laura's Legacy

Richmond holder Laura's Legacy, is at her third run back from a spell and hasn't won since returning but has had to step up quickly in distance to be ready for the New South Wales National Distance Champship heats. Ran third last start at Richmond over 717 and should be ready to win now. Will stay all day, just needs the right run in transit and should get that tonight.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 6 – Box 1 – Punk Appeal

Punk Appeal has found a new zest for racing and won well 2 starts back here comiong from last and then ran second at . With plenty of pace in this race and a few others struggling for form, Punk Appeal should bve able to rail right up behind the leaders tonight and there is few greyhounds in racing other than Take The Kitty or that can go with Punk Appeal late in a race.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 7 – Box 4 – Monique's Doll

Monique's Doll was straight in to our Asutralian Racing Greyhound kennel after a good third at Richmond back in May and then promptly scored well at Wentworth Park in 30.08. Hasn't run since then but is sure to have been very well prepared for this and although she is another of the come from behind types who need a little luck, she does look very classy and is trained by the Sultana family who know how to put the polish on a good greyhound.

Albion Park Greyhounds – Race 7 – Box 7 – Pop Culture

has won his last 2 in a row and although he has to overcome a wide draw again tonight, should be able to put his best forward and prove too good yet again. Beat Cute Attitude last start who lines up again here and although Tommy Cash has a slightly better record, Pop Culture gets to add to his 5 Albion Park wins.
