So Close For Shane Wheeler & Snow Bunny
Shane Wheeler must have been laughing to himself when Snow Bunny held a big lead down the back in race ten. Snow Bunny was drawn as the jackpot dog & was racing for an extra $2200 but unfortunately for Shane, Snow Bunny could not hold off the finish of Awesome Chapman who scored by 2 lens in 30.75.
Tim Tamterra showed a return to form when she led throughout in race 3 a 5th grade over the 400m. Owned by John & Rianne Miles & trained locally at Killcare by John Miles Tim Tamterra has now recorded 5 wins & 4 minors with 2 wins & 1 second on the Gosford circuit.
Another promising stayer opened its winning account at Gosford on Tuesday, when Pickle Mickle scored a hollow victory in the 600m maiden event. Owned by Helen Ivers & trained by Jason Mackay, Pickle Mickle only got to the front down the back of the course, but raced away to win by 15½ lens in a fast 35.38secs. By Flying Penske ex Classy Creek, Pickle Mickle certainly looks to be one to follow.
Other good wins on the night were recorded by Dashing Puzzle (who relished box 1) & the Mathew Moncrieff trained Miss Optimal who scored in race 9.
Next week sees the running of the Laura Dance Memorial heats, in honour of one of Gosford's former staff members.
