Albion Park greyhound preview, tips & odds | Golden Sands Event
Albion Park is set to host a 12-race program on Thursday night from 6:19PM local time. The meeting is headlined by three cracking finals, including the Futurity, Derby, and Golden Sands. All of which hold over $100,000 in prize money for winning connections to share.
Race 6: Valpolicella (1)
Queensland's premiere stayer, Valpolicella, returns to the 710m. The daughter of Shima Shine has raced over the middle distance in her past two starts after winning the Christmas Cheer Final at Wentworth Park over the 720m from box one. She's had five starts out of box one for three wins and has owned this track and trip with five wins from six starts. Hidden Agenda to her outside will look to run off slightly, which will give her the room to find a prominent position on the first turn. Expect her to be too powerful in the finish.

Race 10: Very Handy (2)
Very Handy appears well placed to record his seventh career win. The son of Bernardo has drawn poorly throughout the course of his career, with all 14 of his starts coming out of boxes four through eight. This is the first time he has drawn a low box, and he has the speed to take advantage of it. He was a touch unlucky last week in a heat of the Derby, and this race is an obvious drop in class from Zipping Remus. Expect him to cross Ivy Pearl early, hold out Seven Sinners on the first turn, and prove hard to run down.

Race 3: Cash It In (5)
Cash It In appears well placed to return to the winner's circle. The Tim Britton runner's form has tapered in recent starts as he has finished unplaced in his past two efforts when going around in the market. He lacked his typical finishing burst in a heat of last week's Golden Sands when he was three weeks in-between runs. Expect him to derive great fitness benefits from this effort. There's an abundance of early speed in this race, with the likes of Portman's Lass, Go Bing, and Little Critter all likely to contest the lead. Cash It In can get the drop on these runners and storm over the top in the concluding stages.
