Launceston R5 No.2 Wynburn Cutie: brilliant bitch which will be giving them a start but is definitely the class runner of the race. From box two she should be able to find the fence and work her way into the race – with a clear run she is capable of going around 29.60 or better and there aren't any other dogs in this race which will be running those times.
Nowra R10 No.5 Chevy Prince: Top class chaser which is past his prime but still racing well enough to win here. Debuts over the track and trip but that shouldn't worry him too much – he is well graded and only needs clear room from box five to be able to put himself in the race. Doesn't appear to be an abundance of speed in this race – if he can be a length or two off the leaders through the first turn they'll find it tough to hold him out.
Albion Park R4 No.8 Big Bad Bob: Yet to run in the first three over the 600, but he is racing in good style at the moment and is drawn well in box eight. Aside from the 6 he has found himself a fairly steady race and if he is ever going to win one over the middle distance it will be tonight. Particularly impressive last start at Lismore when holding out proven middle distance dog Another Norris in a tidy 29.78. A repeat of that run will see him hard to beat.
The Meadows R3 No.8 Out Of Range: Has joined the kennel of Jason and Seona Thompson and faces one of his hardest tests in this race. With that being said I don't mind him out in box eight, I think he has the speed to find the lead and he is improving with every run. If he finds the lure I reckon he can break 30 seconds and that will give this race a real nudge.
The Meadows R8 No.1 Mystery Ride: Looks a good each-way bet from the inside. Came out running last week and although he got a bit tired at the end he had enough of a break to win in 34.61. Should strip fitter for that run and with another clean beginning he will give them something to catch. Not the fastest dog in the race, but is drawn well and could add some value to multis for the place.
