Wednesday’s Wentworth Park betting tips & quaddie – 25/1/2023

Wentworth Park preview

After a fantastic night of greyhound racing action last Saturday night at , all of Wednesday's races are named to celebrate those winners. The 10-race card includes a nice staying event and a good third/fourth-grade race. As always, we will try to find you a few winners and a quaddie, so good luck with your investments.

Best Bet: Belmont Bullet (Race 3)

We tipped this boy last week but he left his race in the kennel block and blew the start badly, so we'll forgive him that and back up on him tonight at the nice odds. Before that run had won five of his last 10 with a couple of placings thrown in. His effort off box one two weeks back was impressive, beginning well and using box one to zoom away early and win by eight lengths and break that magical 30-second mark. This race is a nice drop in class, and he gets another handy draw out wide that might just suit him a fraction better. There is no reason he can't lead in a race that doesn't have much pace — and if he leads, he will be very hard to beat.

Danger: Spread Sheet
This boy has amassed a handy record over the sprints, and you would think with that form he has to have good early pace. He may be the early leader but is horribly drawn in box six. Might be over the odds because of the draw and as it's his first go at 500m, so he might be the value play.

Next Best Bet: Gypsy Flyer (Race 6)

Sharon Grey has this girl flying over the sprints up at , and if can bring that form and speed to town, she may just open her Wenty Park account tonight. She is four from four so far, so the ultimate acid test will be applied tonight, but the way she missed the kick and just motored soon afterwards last start was impressive. She won't want to miss the kick tonight and hope for a run, but if she nails the start and runs the 500m right out, she may well finish the night with five wins from five starts.

Danger: Drink Cruisers
She is horribly drawn in the middle but is showing enough to suggest that this isn't above her. Ran a nice race over the 500m last time out at The Gardens and has early pace which could put her right in the thick of things.

Best Value Bet: Despicable Zeus (Race 7)

Sarah Easy and Mitchell Pryce have been on a great run of late and we are hoping that keeps that going tonight. His last two runs have been very good and he deserves his shot in town. He hasn't gone further than the 400m and that is the worry, but Sarah and Mitchell do a great job and this boy might get the early luck as most of the fancied runners are all drawn together out wide. The Despicable dogs usually love an inside draw and this boy is one from one from the striped box. At these odds, he is worth a pop.
