Wentworth Park Saturday tips, odds & quaddie | August 19, 2023
A very nice non-graded event headlines the greyhound racing program at Wentworth Park this Saturday night, ably supported by a nice fourth-grade race and a very good masters race. As always, Australian Racing Greyhound will try to find you a winner or two.
Best Bet: Mr Yellowstone (Race 4)
This boy started his career with three wins in a row, including a very good 29.9 win here back in March. However, a few injuries have stopped him from realising his full potential. He does look to be back now, having completed a hat-trick at Goulburn recently, with his latest win in best-of-day time at 24.46. He has won six of his eight starts and has one win from two attempts at Wenty. The challenge is drawn immediately on his inside, the ever-consistent Mork Vision. If Mr Yellowstone can find a way to get in front of him early, it will go a long way to winning this.

Race 4 –
Form: 4111 | Career: 8: 6-0-0 | Trainer: Anthony Lord
Next Best: Miss Charlotte (Race 2)
This girl has had a paw on the till of late, finishing no worse than fourth in her last seven starts. The fourth was here when she struck trouble in the run to the first turn. Two starts back, she used box two well to get a run through along the fence and proved too strong for a greyhound that was heavily backed. In an open race where none of the runners have broken 30 seconds here, she is perfectly drawn to get the gun trail again right behind Zipping Lucille. The way the race maps, Zipping Lucille will go wide around the first turn, and Miss Charlotte will be charging along the fence and racing away down the back straight to her second Wenty win.

Best Value: Oscar Boaz (Race 5)
This boy is perfectly drawn out in box eight, where he has one win and two placings from three attempts. The only pace in the race will come from dogs four and six, and the dog in the six box will head towards the fence, giving Oscar the whole centre of the track to himself. No dog in this race has broken the 30-second mark, so if Oscar Boaz can run up to his 30.19 personal best, or better it, he will give you a tremendous run for your money at nice odds.
