Wentworth Park racing tips

Group racing returns to on Saturday night with three heats of the for the girls and three heats of the Bob Payne Sprint for the boys. Both races are at Group 3 level and the final will be run next Saturday night here at Headquarters. Add to that the final of the maiden series, from heats run ten days ago and some nice graded races and we are set for a cracking night of greyhound racing at the home of NSW greyhound racing with eleven races to be decided. As always we will do our best to find you a winner or two and good luck

Best Bet: Mortified

Chris O'Brien will send out one of NSW's best chasers at present, Mortified, in this, the second heat of the Ladies Bracelet. She has had no luck in all of the major races she has contested and she showed just how good she is, two Saturday nights back when she began like she can, off a middle box and destroyed a good quality field in a time that no other dog could better. She was knocked down in the final of the in Victoria and again here in the Egg heats. Hopefully she will show everyone that needs any convincing, once again just how unlucky she is not to have a Group race title under her belt already. She deserves a group race and hopefully the Group 3 Ladies Bracelet might fit snugly around her wrist. She is ten wins from eighteen starts here at Wenty and Fifteen from twenty six overall and considering she has been racing the very best in the business that's an imposing record. Should lead and win.

Danger: If there is one maybe Mayfair Reign, she has improved out of sight lately and her win here Wednesday night was good. She bettered her personal best and broke the 30sec mark but will need to find another half a sec to worry Mortified.

Next Best: Len Me Dad

Heat one of the Bob Payne sprint and it is impossible to go past Ruth Matic's big white and brindle boy. He did it for us last Saturday night and we will stay with him as he now steps up into Group 3 company. He was ultra-impressive again last week and ran another top quality time. This will be his stiffest test to date but there is no reason he won't handle the step up and it just means better odds for you. He is three wins and three placings from seven starts on the track and one placing from one attempt from box three. Hopefully he can come out fractionally better then he has been as there is no room for errors in this level of company. If he does begin he will take some catching. The key might be if We Don't Share gives him ample room early.

Danger: . This boy ran a phenomenal 29.4secs last week, destroying a good field in the process. Now he is not usually that good a beginner but if this is the new Zipping Osti then he could seriously become anything.

Best Value: Ibrox Wildfire

In a race where She's A Pearl will start long odds on and could well have the race won after 75m , Ibrox Wildfire represents great value. Was flying before an injury setback kept her out of the Easter Egg carnival and first up and fresh tonight can certainly cause a boil over. won't get it all her own way with and pestering her early and don't discount this girl zipping up under them all in the run to the turn. If Frankie then gets of the track like she can and causes some trouble, it might leave Ibrox alone in front and ready to salute at handy odds

Best Roughie – She's Tempting

It's always worth noting when the Hallinans bring a dog to town. This girl has only had the three career starts and her debut was in the big Easter maiden series, where she had little luck and ran fourth, which proves that the connections believe she has above average ability. She was then taken to Richmond where she was early and just couldn't hold off the winner and then home to where again she flew early to win well over 400m. Now even though Fernando Quality and Cartel Model have experience and fitness on their side, this girl can lead and you know the statistics of leaders on this track. She looks like she will start silly odds and is well worth a ticket and she may give you a sight for a long way.
