Wentworth Park greyhound tips & quaddie | Wednesday, July 19
We have 11 races set down for decision on another wonderful Wednesday night of greyhound racing at Wentworth Park. There is something for every level of greyhound enthusiast, including a maiden, a battlers, a staying race, a 280m dash for cash and a fantastic free-for-all. Hopefully, we can steer you towards a few winners.
Best Bet: Ritza Debra (Race 2)
Ritza Debra has only had the three career starts for a nice maiden win at Dapto and then a third and a win here at headquarters. The way she improved over half a second here last week to record a nippy 29.88 suggests she might have a touch more improvement in her. She draws awkwardly again in box six, and this race does have depth and speed in the form of Dinali Keroma and the Group 1-placed Zipping Foxy. However, if Ritza Debra gets a touch of room early and even luck, she can certainly better her personal best and make it three wins from four career starts.

Leg Speed almost broke Fantastic Dotty's eight-year-old Dapto track record two starts back, missing by three-hundredths of a second in a fantastic 29.37. That was coming back from a five-month break, and he backed that up a week later with a 29.6 best-of-night run on a slow track. However, this speed machine has had seven starts at Wentworth Park and returned only two seconds and a third. He will start at a prohibitive price, but he really should be winning this race comfortably or we may never see him return to the Glebe circuit.

Best Value: Milly's Song (Race 5)
Stepping back up to the 500m after a couple of freshen-up sprints, you know what you will get with this girl. She will begin like a rocket and give you everything she has. She has had her paw on the till recently and just hasn't managed to salute, but this might just be her night. Spring Gold, who is drawn out wide, will also go extremely fast early, but Milly's Song can match motors and potentially hold her out in the run to the first turn. Whichever of these dogs leads will probably hold on and win this race, and one will be a $2 favourite and the other will be $15 or thereabouts.
